Door and Window Division Manager - Building Materials - Base Salary to 130k/year - Los Angeles, CA

  • Our client is a well-established building materials distributor serving contractors, builders, remodelers, and homeowners throughout Southern California. They are seeking a Door and Window Division Manager to lead and grow an established business unit focused on residential doors, windows, millwork, and related building products.
  • This leadership role is responsible for the overall performance of the division, including sales growth, operations management, vendor partnerships, purchasing, inventory management, pricing strategy, profitability, and team leadership. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the division while building strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, contractors, and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall performance, profitability, and growth of the Door and Window division
  • Manage and develop sales, operations, fabrication, delivery, and support personnel
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic planning, market development, and contractor-focused sales initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, vendors, contractors, builders, and key customers
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness
  • Oversee purchasing activities, inventory management, product availability, and vendor performance
  • Partner with sales teams on large quotations, strategic opportunities, and key customer initiatives
  • Monitor financial performance, margins, and operational metrics while implementing improvement strategies
  • Support product line expansion, vendor programs, promotions, and new product introductions
  • Resolve customer and vendor issues while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism
  • Drive accountability, operational efficiency, and performance across the division

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience within the door, window, millwork, building materials, fenestration, or related distribution industry
  • Previous leadership experience managing sales, operations, branch, department, or business unit personnel
  • Strong knowledge of residential door and window products, manufacturers, distribution channels, and contractor-focused sales environments
  • Experience working directly with manufacturers, vendors, suppliers, contractors, builders, and dealer networks
  • Knowledge of pricing strategy, margin management, purchasing, inventory control, and profitability management
  • Experience leading teams and driving accountability, performance improvement, and business growth
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives
  • Experience supporting contractor, builder, remodeling, or construction-focused customer bases
  • Strong communication, relationship management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing customer issues and delivering exceptional service
  • Candidates may come from wholesale distribution, building products, millwork, lumberyard operations, door and window dealerships, or manufacturers serving the residential construction market.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 100k–130k/year range
  • Annual bonus opportunity based on departmental profitability
