DLP Data Analyst

This is a detail-oriented role requiring analytical judgment, clear communication, and the ability to connect data from multiple sources to support informed risk decisions. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor alerts from data loss prevention technologies.
• Perform initial triage and escalate issues according to defined processes.
• Support validation of potential data security incidents.
• Prepare DLP program metrics and recurring reports.
• Provide feedback on DLP policy and rule effectiveness.
• Support ad hoc data requests from DLP leadership.
• Draft playbooks, job aids, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with data security, technology, and risk stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting Data Loss Prevention or data security programs.
• Knowledge of Proofpoint and Microsoft Purview.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Ability to analyze alerts, trends, and multiple data sources.
• Experience documenting processes, findings, or escalation steps.
• Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a regulated environment.
• Financial services experience preferred, open to other regulated industries.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Island.Io experience.
• Insider risk or data protection program exposure.
• Experience supporting DLP policy tuning.
• Banking, insurance, healthcare, or compliance-heavy industry background.
