Job Summary

Position maintains overall responsibility for the financial and management operations of those DJJ facilities assigned to their region. Requires periodic site visitations and evaluates/monitors systems in order to ensure compliance with established policies, goals and philosophy in accordance with contractual obligations and accreditation standards. Provides support, counsel and direction for the site management teams.

Responsibilities

Duty ! - 25

Responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing operational data for submission in a variety of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.

Demonstrates ability to analyze various problems and implement effective solutions.

Provides support, counsel and direction for those reporting directly to him/her, while demonstrating strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.

Demonstrated ability to function in a team based organizational environment.

Duty 2 - 25

Maintains a business climate that will ensure success of the Juvenile Health, deploys goals and objectives through strategic planning. Keeps Managing Director and

Director of Operations fully informed on the condition of the delivery system and all important factors influencing it.

Ensures that all activities of Juvenile Health are in compliance with standards, policies and procedures, federal and state laws.

Requires routine site visits to ensure compliance with established objectives, goals and philosophy in accordance with contractual obligations and accreditation

standards.

Duty 3 - 25

Maintains a good working relationship with and responds appropriately to correctional and health care staff, contract providers, and with outside agencies conducting services within the facility.

Duty 4 - 25

Counsels and disciplines direct reporting staff who violate policies established by AU and DJJ after discussion and concurrence with management, as appropriate.

Completes a yearly evaluation on all directly supervised staff and a 6-month evaluation on all new employees who are under their direct supervision.

Adheres to all security regulations and reports any security concerns to the Director of Operations

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in health care administration, business

administration or related field and/or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the management of a

large health services organization or a clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Previous Correctional Experience. 2 or more years

previous experience in a clinical setting.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
