The Role
LUZCO is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead utility and construction-related projects from initiation through completion. This role is responsible for managing multiple active projects simultaneously while overseeing schedules, budgets, procurement, contractor coordination, client communication, and construction progress.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple moving pieces. This position works closely with engineering teams, contractors, clients, schedulers, and field personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This role is approximately 80% office-based and 20% field-based, with regular travel to project sites within a 1–3 hour radius of the reporting location.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
Manage 10–20 active projects from inception through completion
Review project scopes and develop project work plans with engineering teams and client stakeholders
Coordinate outage requests and sequencing plans with SMEs and contractor partners
Facilitate procurement coordination for project materials and equipment
Coordinate environmental and non-environmental permitting reviews and submittals
Develop RFP packages including scopes of work, schedules, and permitting documentation
Evaluate contractor bids and provide award recommendations to clients
Facilitate pre-construction meetings and ongoing project progress meetings
Drive project schedules and construction progress, including regular on-site involvement
Oversee pre-energization activities and project closeout efforts
Build and maintain strong working relationships with construction teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders
Collaborate with schedulers to maintain and update detailed P6 project schedules
Manage project budgets, accruals, and financial forecast updates
Navigate client systems for project documentation, contract management, and financial tracking
Provide regular project updates to leadership and clients regarding cost, schedule, procurement, safety, environmental concerns, and project risks
Maintain clear communication between project sites, offices, clients, and internal teams

Essentials to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited program
Minimum of 5 years of distribution line, transmission line, or substation construction project management experience
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and construction execution
Strong knowledge of substations, transmission lines, networks, or telecommunications infrastructure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively work with clients, contractors, public agencies, and cross-functional teams
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
