    Job Summary:

    The Program Director, WellConnected position will own and lead the process of programmatic development and implementation of Wellstar Health System's EPIC Community Connect Program. The program is a business unit at Wellstar that will serve as a strategic vehicle to improve patient care and bring affiliate providers on to the same instance of EPIC. The program will have work across many service units, including Wellstar Clinical Partners, IT, legal, branding, compliance, Wellstar Medical Group, and marketing. This position reports to the VP, Population Health. The person in this role will serve as the primary contact for the WellConnected program. He/ she will serve as the liaison between external parties (Affiliate clients) and internal Functional area leadership (Legal/ HIM/ Revenue Cycle/ IT/ Compliance).

    In this role, the individual is responsible for developing and standardizing re-usable processes and templates for efficiently estimating, organizing and managing WellConnected roll-outs to affiliates. This includes Community Connect Program framework development comprising of Resource models, Cost estimation techniques, Governance and organization structures, offerings, pricing, contracting details. The role also entails developing a strategic roadmap of major simultaneous initiatives to provide a bird's eye view for the leadership and help understand overlaps/ dependencies/ conflicts and areas for synergies/ efficiencies.

    This position will be responsible for overall leadership, administration and implementation of the WellConnected program. Specifically, he/she will work on program maintenance, project implementation leadership (detailed management by assigned Project Manager), and account management oversight (detailed management by Account Manager).

    As a liaison, the individual in this role must be able to communicate effectively and with a high level of regard for leadership positions and affiliate partners of the System. He/she will craft key messages in a manner that gains consensus and thoroughly explains the purpose of the information. He/ she will attend various external/ internal meetings including steering committee meetings, client demo, project kick-off, etc and will be the escalation point for issues. This role will work in close collaboration with the IT team to successfully implement Epic at affiliate practices.

    In addition to the responsibility for WellConnected Program, the Program Director may provide oversight to special initiatives for Wellstar Clinical Partners and Population Heatlh

    Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

    Implementation oversight:

    Affiliate demo

    Project governance

    Affiliate site assessments and third party needs

    Workflow walkthroughs and information gathering

    Project timeline development and kick-off

    Status tracking and issue resolution through the project implementation (build/test/go-live)

    Go-live and go-live support

    Programmatic development and maintenance:

    Wellstar Community Connect governance structure and guiding principles

    Wellstar Community Connect offerings including third party applications

    Coordination maintenance/updates in TPA contracts via contract owners

    Affiliate contracting with Wellstar legal/finance

    Wellstar compliance standards

    Wellstar branding standards

    Wellstar HIM standards

    Communications processes, escalation channels, SLAs

    Affiliate readiness criteria evaluation with the steering committee

    Wellstar Wellconnected governance committee

    Developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap of major simultaneous initiatives to provide a bird's eye view for the leadership and help understand overlaps/dependencies/conflicts and areas for synergies/efficiencies

    Account management oversight:

    Initial coordination with identified affiliates

    Hand holding and spokesperson for the affiliate

    Setting and managing affiliate expectations during initial implementation and post go-live phases

    Post go-live stabilization and relationship management

    WCP and Population Health initiatives

    Performs other duties as assigned

    Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

    Required Minimum Education:

    • Bachelors Information Technology or Masters Information Technology-Preferred

    Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

    All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

    PMI - certified project manager Upon Hire Preferred or

    Program & Project Management\Certified Project Manager (IAPM) Upon Hire Preferred or

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 10 years Managing large and complex programs in a health care setting. Demonstrated knowledge of and success in implementing EHR systems while working collaboratively with clients and multiple teams Required

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Ability to self-direct and appropriately delegate. High

    Ability to exercise judgment, problem solve, and make decisions consistent with Wellstar philosophy, goals and objectives.

    Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, project management and team building skills.
