We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Accounting and Finance to join our thriving team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our accounting and finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment management. In addition, the candidate will be expected to manage fund and property accounting, investor reporting, capital accounts, and debt management.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As the Vice President of Accounting and Finance, you will:

1. Oversee the operations of the accounting and finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

2. Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.

3. Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems.

4. Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.

5. Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

6. Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.

7. Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.

8. Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.

9. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.

10. Lead and manage the company's investment portfolio, including real estate funds, private equity, and REITs.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.

2. Proven experience with the following skillset: CPA is a plus, Finance, Investment Management, fund accounting, property accounting, investor reporting, capital accounts, debt management, forecasting, budgeting, Multi Entity, private real estate funds, private equity, REITs.

3. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

4. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5. Advanced knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.

6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

7. Experience in strategic planning and execution.

8. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

9. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.

10. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
