Basic Function

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Supply Chain & Operations, the Director of Supply Chain is the strategic architect of Sabert's end-to-end paper supply network. This executive role is responsible for the design and execution of global supply strategies to ensure production scales with customer demand. The Director oversees the entire planning ecosystem-integrating capacity management, inventory optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives-while leading a high-performing team to maintain world-class service reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and champion long-term supply chain roadmaps aligned with enterprise-level financial and growth objectives.

• Global Capacity Governance: Oversee complex capacity models and scenario planning; spearhead capital investment recommendations to resolve future constraints. • Demand-Supply Integration: Synchronize global demand signals with actionable manufacturing and procurement plans to maximize fulfillment. • Inventory & Financial Stewardship: Direct inventory strategies to optimize working capital, minimize carrying costs, and mitigate obsolescence risk. • Risk Mitigation: Architect resilient supply frameworks to navigate global disruptions and demand volatility. • Digital Transformation: Lead the adoption of advanced analytics and AI-driven planning tools to drive continuous improvement.

Team Development: Lead, mentor, and scale a multi-functional team of planning managers and specialists, fostering a culture of high accountability.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align supply chain capabilities with market opportunities.

Desired Skills

Expertise in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.

Advanced mastery of supply chain financial dynamics and cost-to-serve modeling.

Experience 10+ years in Supply Chain Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/Director-level role.

Deep expertise in SAP and/or Blue Yonder (or similar Tier 1 ERP/Advanced Planning Systems).

Extensive experience in the paper, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing sectors.

Proven track record of managing large-scale supply chain transformations.

Education

Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business.

Master's Degree/MBA preferred.

Required: APICS CSCP/CPIM or equivalent professional certification.
