Position Overview Reporting to the Vice President of Retail, the Director of Retail Training leads the training strategy and execution for Moncler's directly operated stores and concessions across the Americas. The Director oversees Field Training Managers and provides functional leadership to the network of in-store trainers and Training Majors, ensuring learning initiatives strengthen selling excellence, retail leadership capability, client experience, operational consistency, and business performance. In addition to leading the broader Training function, the Director will have direct training responsibility for an assigned portfolio of stores, serving as the primary Field Trainer for those locations. The role therefore combines strategic leadership and people management with hands-on training delivery, store coaching, and direct partnership with retail leadership. Partnering closely with Retail, Human Resources, Merchandising, Client Development (CRM), Visual Merchandising, and Global Training, the Director adapts global learning programs while developing region-specific content to address the evolving needs of the Americas business. This is a highly field-facing role requiring regular time in stores. The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on luxury retail leader who can lead a training organization while remaining directly connected to store teams, leaders, clients, and commercial performance. Your Impact Retail Training Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the Retail Training strategy across Moncler directly operated stores and concessions throughout the Americas, aligning learning priorities with commercial objectives, client experience, and brand standards. Lead, coach, and develop Field Training Managers while providing functional direction to in-store Trainers and Training Majors to ensure consistency and accountability across the network. Partner with the Vice President of Retail and Retail Leadership to identify capability and performance gaps and translate business priorities into actionable learning plans. Serve as the primary regional partner to Global Training, implementing global programs while adapting content and delivery to the needs of the Americas market. Field Training Maintain direct training responsibility for an assigned portfolio of stores, serving as the primary Field Trainer and establishing training priorities based on each location's business and development needs. Maintain a strong presence on the selling floor, observing client interactions, selling behaviors, and leadership practices while providing real-time coaching and follow-up. Conduct ongoing training needs assessments and personally deliver training, workshops, and coaching interventions for assigned stores. Maintain visibility across the broader retail network to understand regional needs, coach Field Training Managers, and ensure consistent execution of training standards. Learning Design & Retail Leadership Capability Lead the design, development, localization, and continuous improvement of learning programs supporting clienteling, selling excellence, storytelling, product expertise, styling, retail leadership, operational excellence, and new business initiatives. Develop annual learning roadmaps and training calendars that balance Global priorities with regional and store-specific business needs. Utilize blended learning methodologies, including instructor-led training, digital learning, workshops, role play, and on-the-job coaching. Establish train-the-trainer programs that strengthen the capabilities of Field Training Managers, in-store Trainers, and Training Majors and create a scalable learning model across the retail network. Develop the capabilities of Store Managers and other Retail Leaders through targeted coaching and programs focused on leadership effectiveness, team management, performance, client experience, and commercial execution. Partner with Human Resources on broader talent development, succession, performance management, and organizational development initiatives, with HR retaining ownership of enterprise talent development strategy and programs. Support retail onboarding and early integration, ensuring employees receive consistent brand, product, service, and role-specific training. Business Partnership & Performance Partner with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Client Development (CRM), Human Resources, Visual Merchandising, and other functions to ensure training priorities remain connected to business needs. Leverage commercial results, field observations, client experience measures, MARS, VIBE, CRM behaviors, and other relevant indicators to identify development opportunities and evaluate training effectiveness. Analyze trends across stores and regions and translate insights into training priorities, action plans, and recommendations. Provide Retail Leadership with visibility into training activity, impact, opportunities, and areas requiring additional focus. Retail Initiatives & Training Operations Lead the training component of new store openings, renovations, product launches, and other strategic retail initiatives, ensuring teams are prepared for successful execution. Oversee the regional training calendar and allocation of Field Training resources based on business priorities and store needs. Manage the Retail Training budget and external training partners, as required. Ensure training is reinforced through ongoing field coaching and embedded into daily store routines and leadership practices. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to support the overall objectives of the Retail organization. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered. Experience 8-10+ years of progressive experience in retail training, learning and development, or retail leadership. 3-5+ years of experience leading teams, preferably within a multi-unit or field-based retail environment. Luxury retail experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning programs within a multi-store retail organization. Proven ability to coach retail leaders and frontline teams and translate learning into improved business performance. Experience managing multiple priorities across geographically dispersed locations. Core Skills & Attributes Client-centric individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and coaching capabilities with the ability to engage audiences ranging from frontline employees to senior retail leaders. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to translate complex concepts into practical, engaging learning experiences. Strong luxury retail and commercial acumen with an understanding of the relationship between selling behaviors, client experience, leadership, and business performance. Ability to balance strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on training delivery and field coaching. Strong people leadership skills with the ability to develop and empower a geographically dispersed training team. Ability to assess business and performance needs and translate insights into actionable training solutions. Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels. Highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems. Travel: Up to 30% travel throughout the Americas to support assigned stores, the broader retail network, new store openings, leadership meetings, and business initiatives. Compensation and Benefits For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Moncler provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $160,000 to $200,000.   In addition to competitive pay,  the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including  medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 11 paid holidays, accrue up to 160 hours of paid vacation time, 2 personal days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.   The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Moncler Corporate Office, located in the heart of Soho, Manhattan.
