Job Objective:
Provide leadership in the development, placement, implementation and evaluation of student services district-wide.
Reports to:
District Administrator
Qualifications:
Must possess WI DPI License #5080 - Director of Special Education and Pupil Services.
Proven experience working with populations of students in poverty and understanding of community resources.
Experience in leadership roles within an educational setting is preferred.
Summary:
The Adams-Friendship School District is seeking a dedicated Student Services Director to lead our efforts in providing exceptional services to our diverse student population. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with populations of students in poverty, community resources, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities they present.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the student services department, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of special education programs and services.
Oversee and guide a process of continuous, intentional, and systematic improvement in student achievement, as directed by the Board of Education and District Administrator.
Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and community partners to ensure holistic support for students.
Drive initiatives to address the unique needs of students in poverty, leveraging community resources and partnerships.
Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to student services.
Advocate for and ensure the delivery of inclusive, equitable, and culturally-responsive services.
Provide professional development and training to staff regarding best practices in student services.
Analyze data and assess the effectiveness of student services programs and interventions, making data-driven decisions and adjustments as needed.
Foster and maintain open lines of communication with families, teachers, staff, and community members to collaboratively address student needs.
