Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Division of Student Affairs fosters student growth and development. The Division of Student Affairs aids, directs, and informs students about services and programs that will expand students' educational experiences and prepare them for diverse lives in local and global communities. The Division of Student Affairs is responsible for many of the out-of-classroom, off-campus aspects of student life at NCCU, including student engagement and leadership; career services; student disability services; student leadership; residential life; student activities; student conduct; special programs and services; and student health & counseling services.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Director of Student Affairs Assessment, Training, and Professional Development provides strategic leadership for assessment, continuous improvement, and professional learning initiatives across the Division of Student Affairs. This role is responsible for advancing a culture of evidence-based practice, supporting staff development, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, accreditation standards, and best practices within the UNC System.

Experience within the UNC System or a similar public higher education environment.
