Director of Research

A growing investment management firm is seeking a Director of Research to lead investment analysis efforts and support portfolio decision-making across public and private market opportunities. This individual will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, evaluating investment opportunities, monitoring existing holdings, and helping shape the firm's overall investment strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead fundamental research and due diligence on prospective investment opportunities.
• Develop investment theses, financial models, industry analyses, and company evaluations.
• Monitor portfolio investments and provide ongoing recommendations to the investment team.
• Conduct market, sector, and macroeconomic research to identify emerging trends and risks.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and investment committees.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and senior leadership on portfolio construction and strategic initiatives.

Ideal Background

• 7+ years of experience in equity research, investment management, private equity, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a related investment role.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate businesses, industries, and investment opportunities across multiple sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Self-motivated professional capable of managing multiple research projects in a fast-paced environment.
