    Electrical Director of Projects

    On-Site | Indianapolis, IN

    Structure Resources is looking for an experienced Electrical Director of Projects for our client, an award-winning electrical design-build contractor specializing in complex commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects nationwide.

    This position is based at the company’s Indianapolis headquarters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic leadership and execution oversight for a portfolio of large, complex electrical projects across multiple regions and customers

    • Lead, supervise, and develop Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers

    • Ensure projects are delivered according to schedule, budget, quality, and performance expectations

    • Oversee project setup, buyouts, procurement strategies, labor planning, change-order tracking, and job-cost forecasting

    • Partner with field leadership to align project schedules, manpower needs, and overall execution

    • Conduct regular project reviews and prepare project-health updates for operations leadership

    • Lead monthly pre-WIP reviews and ensure project teams provide accurate and timely financial information

    • Validate labor projections, earned revenue, cost forecasts, margin performance, and change-order impacts

    • Identify financial risks, write-down exposure, scope gaps, and potential recovery strategies

    • Support project teams in resolving manpower challenges, vendor issues, schedule conflicts, and customer disputes

    • Serve as a senior liaison for key clients and ensure consistent change-management and billing practices

    • Assist customers, field personnel, and project teams with design changes and field change-order estimates

    • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams regarding changes to as-built drawings

    • Participate in project turnover meetings and 20% and 60% project reviews

    • Collaborate with preconstruction, engineering, estimating, and operations during early project planning

    • Conduct one-on-one meetings, establish performance goals, complete reviews, and identify development opportunities for project-management staff

    • Interview and provide hiring input for project-management candidates

    • Promote accountability, safety, customer service, operational excellence, and InP
