This is an exciting expansion of our leadership team. The Director of Operations will work closely with the CEO and school leadership and will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring that all operational functions are effective, efficient, and in alignment with the organization's strategic goals. The Director of Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of the school's infrastructure, staff systems, compliance, and external partnerships, reporting directly to the CEO.

Certified - School Administration
Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Business Management, Non-Profit Management, or related field
Experiences Required
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience with a preference for leadership experience in operations, ideally within an educational setting.
- Charter school operations experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple operational functions effectively and efficiently
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and community partners.
- Experience with budget management, financial reporting, and compliance.
Position Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring that all operational functions are effective, efficient, and in alignment with the organization's strategic goals. The Director of Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of the school's infrastructure, staff systems, compliance, and external partnerships, reporting directly to the CEO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the school's operational systems, including facilities, transportation, food service, custodial services, and technology
- Collaborate with the CEO and other administrative leaders to ensure that operational processes are streamlined and aligned with the school's strategic priorities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote operational excellence, compliance, and accountability.
Human Resources Support:
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new staff members.
- Ensure that HR systems are effective, including staff payroll, benefits, and record-keeping.
- Work closely with HR Consultants and school leadership to support staff professional development, performance evaluations, and retention efforts.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as school policies related to operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the school's risk management strategies to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and facilities.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Collaborate with the CEO and financial consultants to manage the school's operational budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of financial reports and documents.
External Partnerships & Community Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners and stakeholders, including the IPS District and any external services such as transportation and food service.
- Foster relationships with community partners to support school operations and improve services for students.
Grant & Resource Management:
- Assist in the preparation and management of grants and other funding sources to support operational initiatives.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO to ensure the successful operation of the school.
