Director of Land Development & Acquisition – Residential Construction

Full-Time | Hybrid – 3 Days in Office / 2 Days Remote

A growing residential home builder is seeking an experienced Director of Land Development & Acquisition to lead the identification, evaluation, acquisition, and development of residential land opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate residential land acquisition opportunities

• Lead due diligence, negotiations, contracts, and closings

• Oversee land development from acquisition through finished lots

• Manage zoning, entitlements, permitting, and municipal approvals

• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and financial projections

• Build relationships with landowners, brokers, municipalities, engineers, and consultants

• Maintain and grow the company's land pipeline

Qualifications

• 7+ years of residential land acquisition/development experience

• Strong understanding of land development, zoning, entitlements, and permitting

• Experience evaluating land deals, development costs, and financial feasibility

• Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
