Kforce has a client that is seeking a Director/Associate Director, Investment Operations Strategy and Projects in Boston, MA for a hybrid role (4 days in office). Overview: A highly respected investment organization is seeking a strategic leader to join a key team responsible for driving operational excellence, managing critical investment workflows, and leading business-enhancing initiatives across the investment platform. This is not a traditional investment operations position. The role combines people leadership, project execution, stakeholder partnership, and process improvement within a complex and fast-moving investment environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team supporting mission-critical investment and operational processes
  • Drive operational improvements, automation initiatives, and strategic projects across the investment platform
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance data quality, controls, and workflow efficiency
  • Provide oversight of complex investment-related activities including portfolio data governance, reconciliations, cash management, and risk-focused operational processes
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving new products, technologies, and process enhancements
  • Continuously assess operational risks and identify opportunities to improve scalability and effectiveness

Requirements:

  • 5-12 years of experience in public accounting, advisory, consulting, investment operations, asset management, or financial services
  • Big 4 or Top 10 accounting firm foundation strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting investment management, private equity, hedge funds, insurance, or other complex financial services environments is a plus
  • Proven leadership, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong analytical mindset with an interest in process improvement, automation, and operational strategy

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
