About the Opportunity
The Director of Graduate Enrollment and Admissions reports to the Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, Admissions and Financial Aid and develops recruitment and yield strategies to grow the School of Law's graduate programs, with a primary focus on non-JD programs (LL.M. and MLS), by increasing the number of applicants, admits, and matriculants. The Director creates, updates, and manages application and admissions processes for the LL.M. and MLS programs and develops marketing/recruiting strategy for prospective students, including international applicants. In consultation with the Dean and Associate Dean, the Director may support the launch of new graduate program initiatives as they arise, such as online or hybrid degrees and certificates. The Director also oversees and manages third-party partners with regard to admissions and recruitment functions.
Experience in the operation of an academic program is highly recommended. Effective oral and written communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work with a culturally diverse constituency and community are required. Must be highly proficient in data management. Must be proficient in word processing and in the use of social media as a marketing and communication tool. Experience working with international students is highly recommended. Experience working with law students is a plus. Facility with project management databases is a plus. Creativity and self-motivation are a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree (JD or related law degree preferred) and experience working in student recruitment, admissions, and marketing academic programs.
