    Description

    NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a global consumer products organization to identify a Director of Human Resources in Irving, TX. This direct-hire leadership position is 100% onsite and will have broad ownership of the U.S. Human Resources function while partnering closely with executive leadership domestically and the organization's global HR leadership in Europe.


    This position is ideal for a seasoned, hands-on HR leader who enjoys having ownership across the entire employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong HR operations and compliance expertise, can confidently advise leadership on complex employee matters, and sees opportunities to modernize processes and create efficiencies within a traditionally manual environment.


    Required:

    • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with broad, hands-on responsibility across employee relations, benefits, compensation, recruiting, HR operations, and compliance
    • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, workers' compensation, leave administration, and related HR compliance requirements
    • Significant benefits administration experience, including annual open enrollment, broker/vendor management, 401(k) administration, employee eligibility, claims resolution, and plan communications
    • Demonstrated employee relations expertise with experience advising managers, handling sensitive employee matters, developing policies, maintaining employee handbooks, and driving workplace compliance
    • Strong HR systems and Excel capabilities with the ability to improve processes, reporting, documentation, and workflows within a hands-on environment


    Preferred:

    • Paycom HRIS experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Experience overseeing HR for employees across multiple states
    • Experience modernizing manual HR processes, improving HR technology utilization, and creating greater automation and efficiency
    • Experience partnering with international or global corporate leadership while independently managing U.S.-based HR operations
