Director of Finance - Asset Management - Boston - Hybrid 
A leading investment firm is seeking a Director of Finance for a growing asset management platform focused on insurance-related investments. This is a high-visibility opportunity to build and lead the finance function while partnering closely with investment, operations, legal, tax, and senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the finance function for a growing asset management business

• Build scalable finance infrastructure, processes, and reporting capabilities

• Oversee NAV reviews, investor capital reporting, consolidations, US GAAP valuations, expense allocations, and cash management

• Manage relationships with external fund administrators and auditors

• Lead year-end audit activities and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors

• Partner with investment and portfolio teams to provide financial insight and support investment monitoring

• Work cross-functionally with legal, tax, compliance, operations, and other internal teams

• Support complex investment structures spanning private investments, structured assets, fund-of-funds, and derivatives

• Drive process improvement and leverage technology

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience within asset management, investment management, or public accounting

• CPA highly preferred

• Strong finance/accounting background with experience supporting complex investment structures

• Experience with US GAAP, valuations, fund accounting, and financial reporting

• Strong Excel and financial systems expertise

• Highly analytical, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager or Director level public accounting professional working with Insurance clients to transition into private industry. You will serve as the primary finance lead for this team. The expected base compensation range for this position is between $155K-$185K, depending on experience.
