Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans to support business objectives of the firm.
  • Oversee the creation of content across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Lead communications team including multiple direct reports and manage external agency relationship.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Manage external communication efforts, including public relations and media outreach.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust plans as needed.
  • Act as a key advisor on communication strategies to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Ensure all communications comply with company policies and standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director of Strategic Communications should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in communications within a law firm, consulting or professional services environment. Law firm experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a communications team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing communications and branding strategies for complex organizations and sophisticated brands.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including ability to influence, build trust and connectivity across all levels of an organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong professional relationships with media outlets, PR agencies and relevant contacts within the industry.
  • Proficiency with business platforms including Microsoft Office, CRM, project management software, social media tools, analytics and AI-enabled tools.
