Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Advancement for a mission-driven, faith-based educational institution. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Dallas, Texas, with onsite collaboration Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director of Advancement will lead fundraising and external engagement efforts that support the organization's strategic growth and long-term impact. This leadership position will oversee major gifts, grants, annual giving, donor stewardship, and community partnerships while working closely with executive leadership. This is an outstanding opportunity for a relationship-focused fundraising professional to help expand philanthropic support and strengthen donor engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan that includes major gifts, grants, annual giving, scholarships, and other philanthropic initiatives.

  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors, foundations, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.

  • Lead donor engagement initiatives through stewardship, communications, events, and relationship-building opportunities.

  • Oversee advancement operations, including donor database management, gift processing, grant coordination, reporting, and compliance.

  • Partner with leadership to identify funding priorities, develop compelling cases for support, and represent the organization within the community.

  • Track fundraising performance and present strategic updates to executive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated success securing major gifts and building meaningful donor relationships.

  • Experience developing and executing fundraising strategies across multiple revenue streams.

  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience working with fundraising CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Passion for advancing the mission of a faith-based, mission-driven organization.
