Director, Inpatient Nursing, OPS/ACNO - Nursing Administration

Full-Time, 40 hrs/week

Summary:

Assists the Vice President, CNO in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating patient care services. Establishes evidence-based goals and objectives, standards of performance, programs, policies and procedures and interprets standards and regulations to personnel, patients, medical staff and community members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Formal Education Required:

a. BSN with Masters Degree in business, healthcare, or other related field or MSN required

b. Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing, Certified in Critical Care (CCRN), or Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) required

c. Certification in Nursing Administration preferred or required within two years of hire

d. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio

  1. Experience and Training Required:

a. Five (5) years related clinical/professional experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry required. Experience in Critical Care nursing optional.

b. Five (5) years in an administrative or clinical nursing leadership role within an acute care setting required

  1. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

a. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills

b. Ability to work well within a team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals and encouraging fellow team members

c. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

  1. Level of Physical Demands:

a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
