Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
- Minimum 18 months of recent ER nursing experience; travel experience is acceptable
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred for emergency nursing candidates
- One qualifying reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the ER specialty from the last 12 months
- Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
- Availability to complete pre-start compliance items and required onboarding within assigned timelines
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality patient care in a busy Emergency Department environment
- Assess, triage, stabilize, and monitor patients with urgent and emergent conditions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and support efficient patient flow during a night-shift schedule
- Use strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork in a fast-paced ER setting
