About the Role
About MiniMed
MiniMed is an insulin delivery company advancing automated therapy for people with diabetes, today and tomorrow. Our mission is to make every day a better day for people with diabetes. Everyone in this space claims they're taking on diabetes. It's true for all of us, but it's just table stakes.
What you should expect from MiniMed is the drive of a startup with the resourcing of a public one. Small enough to make an impact internally but serious enough to play a role in care for millions of customers. And we're adding to our world class team.

Role Overview
MiniMed is newly public, and every function here is being rebuilt for that reality - new governance, new expectations, and no time to waste. The Director, HR Business Partner for Corporate Functions owns the people strategy for five of the highest-leverage groups: Finance, Legal, Digital Technology, Corporate Development & Strategy & Transformation. You'll be the HR partner sitting with Executive leaders across all five - broader reach than most HRBP roles carry, and no layer standing between you and the decisions that matter.
This role reports directly to the CHRO, and it's an individual contributor seat with full latitude to run your own patch. It's built for someone who wants the breadth of a generalist, the stakes of partnering at the executive table, and the trust to make calls.
It requires real business acumen, executive presence, and the judgment to navigate very different functions - each with its own pace, risk tolerance, and definition of a good outcome.
This is a hybrid role based in Northridge, California, with an onsite expectation of 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnering: Be the person your leaders bring a half-formed problem to - because you already understand their function well enough to sharpen the question. Bring a clear, well-reasoned point of view into leadership discussions, and push back constructively when the easy answer isn't the right one. Own the outcome, not just the recommendation.
Talent Management & Development: Know the talent across your functions cold - who's ready for more, who's a flight risk, where the succession gaps actually are. Partner with the Director of Global Talent Management to run performance calibration and build development plans sharp enough to keep our best people from becoming someone else's best people.
Organizational Design & Workforce Planning: Partner with leaders to redesign structures for functions that are scaling and automating at the same time - including where AI genuinely changes the shape of a team, not just the tools it uses. Make the hard org design call when there's no clean answer and make it with enough clarity that people can act on it.
Drive a Performance Culture: Champion a high-performance culture across your client groups that reflects MiniMed's values. Coach leaders to make pay-for-performance real, not just a rewards-deck line item, and to give feedback direct enough to change behavior.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Building the Function: Work Talent Management, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and HR Ops as one team, not four separate inboxes. Represent your functions' needs in enterprise-wide HR initiatives and help build MiniMed's HR function from the ground up as a newly independent public company - this is a build, not a maintenance job.
Required Qualifications
Preferred
These six things are true about working at MiniMed. They are not aspirations on a poster - they are our Ways of Working, lived every day.
Independence changes everything. It sharpens our focus and clarifies who owns what. It lets us move at the pace this moment demands - the discipline of a public company with the drive of a startup. Automated Insulin Delivery is becoming the standard of care, clinical guidelines are shifting, and adoption is accelerating.
Builders, problem-solvers, and people who want work that matters.
We are engineers and clinicians. Software developers and regulatory experts. Commercial leaders, finance and HR partners and data scientists. Some of us have lived with diabetes ourselves; others were drawn here by the mission. We come from medtech, from tech, from pharma - from places where we learned to build, scale, and solve hard problems.
What we share is not a background. It is how we think. We are not here to maintain; we are here to build. To lean into a challenge. People who know how to do a lot with a little - and who find that energizing.
If this work calls to you, MiniMed is for you.
MiniMed is for people who thrive under pressure, love a real challenge, and want to help shape what comes next. If you want meaningful work, the freedom to own outcomes, the chance to grow faster than you thought possible, and the kind of impact you will still be proud of in ten years - this is where you belong.
We are MiniMed.
We unlock freedom by making better days an everyday reality.
Join us. Better days. Every day.
