Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $80,000 - $90,000/year, DOE

Overview:
The Facilities Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for all OTSL facilities, fleet assets, building systems, workplace services, and related infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, cost-effective, and customer-focused facility operations across all OTSL and customer-supported locations.
The Facilities Director develops long-term facilities strategies, oversees maintenance and capital improvement programs, manages vendor partnerships, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports business growth through effective facility planning and operational excellence. Responsibilities include oversight of facility maintenance, fleet operations, security, workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and customer-facing facilities support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute OTSL's facilities and asset management strategy.
- Establish operating standards, policies, and performance measures.
- Support organizational growth through facility planning and infrastructure development.
- Provide leadership for facilities, fleet, and workplace services teams.
- Oversee maintenance and operation of all buildings, grounds, and building systems.
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are implemented and monitored.
- Direct facility repair, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain work order systems and service delivery metrics.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire/life safety, environmental, and building regulations.
- Lead facility audits, inspections, and corrective action programs.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with Safety leadership to reduce operational risk.
- Oversee fleet maintenance, utilization, licensing, and replacement planning.
- Establish asset lifecycle management processes.
- Monitor equipment availability, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable transportation and equipment regulations.
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.
- Identify cost savings and operational efficiency opportunities.
- Evaluate vendor pricing, service agreements, and contract performance.
- Monitor facility and fleet expenditures against budget targets.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with maintenance providers, contractors, landlords, and service vendors.
- Establish service-level expectations and performance metrics.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.
- Ensure work is completed according to safety and quality standards.
- Serve as executive liaison for facility-related customer issues.
- Partner with operational leaders to support customer requirements.
- Support facility activities associated with major customer locations and service centers.
- Ensuring facilities consistently meet customer expectations and contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive facilities management experience.
- 5+ years leading multi-site operations.
- Experience managing capital projects, vendor contracts, and facility budgets.
- Experience supporting customer-facing operations in logistics, industrial, utility, or distribution environments preferred.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), preferred
- Facilities Management Professional (FMP), preferred
- OSHA Certification, required
- Project Management Professional (PMP), preferred
