How will this role impact First Command?
The Director of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing First Command’s ERM risk management function. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer (CRO), this position plays a critical role in establishing strategy, governance, and enterprise-wide integration of risk management best practices. The ERM team also serves as the primary champion of risk management at strategic levels and will be responsible for building a risk-aware culture that improves decision-making, enhances resilience and the ability to respond to uncertainty, strengthens governance and stakeholder confidence and optimizes operational efficiency.
The Director leads a team of professionals and collaborates closely with senior leadership and control functions to ensure the organization operates within its defined risk appetite. This role requires strategic vision, deep regulatory expertise, and strong leadership capabilities to drive effective risk governance and continuous improvement.

Work Experience
7+years or more of experience in enterprise risk, compliance risk, operational risk, or a related quantitative discipline within financial servicesrequired.
