About the Opportunity
Join a fast-growing consumer nutrition company with products available online and in over 30,000 retail locations nationwide. The company is committed to helping people live healthier, more active lives and offers an environment where smart, creative people can make a meaningful impact.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical enterprise technology environment during a major digital transformation. You will lead a seven-person team responsible for ERP, EDI integrations, enterprise applications, master data, and the cloud data platform. You will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, strengthen the existing application environment, and lead a complex integration initiative involving manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics partners.
The ideal candidate is a technically credible leader who understands how enterprise systems work together, knows how to challenge vendor recommendations, and can balance transformation initiatives with reliable day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on technical ownership and leadership role, not a position focused solely on delegation, project management, or business intelligence.
What You'll Do
Lead and develop a seven-person team responsible for enterprise applications, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SPS Commerce EDI, master data, and Microsoft Fabric.
Own the technical direction and operational performance of the enterprise application and integration environment while maintaining reliable day-to-day business operations.
Lead a complex integration transformation connecting approximately 12 co-manufacturing partners and six warehouse and logistics partners through SPS Commerce EDI.
Oversee multiple integrations running in parallel, including requirements, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support in coordination with internal stakeholders, systems integrators, and external trading partners.
Provide technical oversight of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including configuration decisions, application support, system dependencies, and integration requirements.
Oversee Microsoft Fabric and its relationship to enterprise applications, data pipelines, and downstream data consumers.
Direct external implementation partners, consultants, developers, and technology vendors while retaining internal accountability for technical decisions, quality, and outcomes.
Translate business requirements into clear technical direction, review proposed solutions, identify risks, and challenge recommendations that do not meet business or operational needs.
Maintain and improve the existing application portfolio while coordinating major implementations, integrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish appropriate standards for change management, testing, documentation, access controls, support procedures, and production readiness.
Oversee master data management and establish clear ownership and consistent definitions for critical business data across connected systems.
Partner with business stakeholders, IT, security, and compliance teams to address operational issues, manage technology risks, and ensure systems remain secure, supportable, and audit-ready.
Set priorities, clarify responsibilities, coach team members, and develop technical capabilities and backup coverage across the team.
Communicate system performance, technical risks, vendor dependencies, and investment recommendations to business and IT leadership.
What We're Looking For
Demonstrated experience owning, configuring, administering, or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a production business environment.
Experience with SPS Commerce EDI and establishing or overseeing EDI connections between an ERP and external trading partners.
Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including the ability to oversee the platform, understand its architecture and dependencies, and direct internal or external technical resources.
Experience leading complex enterprise integrations involving multiple external partners, parallel workstreams, testing, troubleshooting, and production deployment.
Proven ability to maintain and support existing enterprise applications while delivering significant integration or transformation initiatives.
Experience leading technical teams, managing outside implementation partners, and remaining accountable for technical decisions and delivery outcomes.
Strong understanding of ERP-driven business processes, including finance, order management, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics.
Working knowledge of integration approaches such as APIs, secure file transfer, middleware, and vendor-managed connectors.
Ability to evaluate technical designs, understand system dependencies and data flows, identify potential implementation issues, and make informed technical decisions without needing to perform all development personally.
Experience overseeing master data, data quality, and consistent business definitions across enterprise applications.
Understanding of change management, access controls, system documentation, security requirements, vendor risk, and operational support practices.
Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience level: 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred. Candidates will be evaluated on their accomplishments, technical ownership, and leadership capabilities rather than job title alone. Experienced Senior Analysts, Technical Leads, and Managers who have already taken ownership of complex enterprise systems and demonstrated the ability to lead people and vendors are encouraged to apply.
Experience in consumer products, food and beverage, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments is highly desirable.
What Will Set You Apart
Experience with Business Central and SPS Commerce in a small or midsize organization where you have been close to the actual technical work.
Experience connecting an ERP to co-manufacturers, warehouses, logistics providers, suppliers, or other external trading partners.
A track record of leading multiple integrations simultaneously while maintaining business-critical systems.
The ability to anticipate technical problems, challenge implementation partners, and make decisions that balance business needs with long-term supportability.
A leadership style that combines technical credibility, sound judgment, accountability, and team development.
