SALARY
$83,167.46
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, retrieves and retains surveillance video from buses, rail cars, train stations and work locations. Provides video surveillance coverage for the Security Department. Acts as liaison as needed in the role of video retrieval specialist for the CTA with law enforcement, the Chicago Police Department, the Office of Emergency Management and Communication (OEMC), and federal agencies.
Qualifications
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Retrieves, compiles, edits, and preserves video evidence from CTA's camera system which includes work locations, rail platforms, and vehicles in response to investigations and/or requests from other CTA departments or outside agencies.
o Coordinates with CTA departments (Rail & Bus Operations) as well as maintenance personnel to ensure videos are obtained in a timely manner.
o Documents and records all requests in order to maintain proper chain of custody.
o Assigns an inventory control number to each video record retrieved.
o Collaborates with various departments to identify, troubleshoot, and report defective equipment for corrective action.
o Stays up to date with the latest video surveillance technology.
