    Description

    Tetra Tech is seeking an accomplished Digital Automation Account Executive with extensive experience in Control Systems and SCADA solutions for upstream oil and gas, downstream refining, or petrochemical industries. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding key accounts, and strengthening partnerships across customers, technology providers, and industry organizations.

    The ideal candidate brings strong market credibility, an established professional network, and the ability to represent the organization as a thought leader within the automation and controls space.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Lead and execute business development strategy for control systems and SCADA solutions within oil & gas, refining, and petrochemical markets
    • Drive revenue growth through strategic account development and new market opportunities
    • Leverage existing customer relationships to expand services and long-term partnerships
    • Maintain and grow relationships with automation hardware and software vendors and strategic technology partners
    • Establish and strengthen affiliations with industry groups, associations, and professional organizations
    • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, webinars, and industry events
    • Lead or participate in webinar discussions and conference presentations as a company spokesperson
    • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to align offerings with market needs
    • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform growth strategy

    Required Skills:

    • 10-15 years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or strategic account management related to:

    • Control systems

    • SCADA systems

    • Industrial automation solutions

    • Direct industry experience in upstream oil and gas, downstream refining, and petrochemical environments

    • Proven track record of driving sustained revenue growth and market expansion

    • Thorough understanding of the complete life cycle of control system projects from instrument selection, panel design, control system narratives, cause and effect diagrams, PLC programming HMI and historian development, alarming, commissioning and functional acceptance testing

    • Familiarity with Rockwell Control Logix PLC Platform

    • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and execute bids, proposals, quotes, and estimates

    • Familiarity with common industry pricing, payment terms, and milestones

    • Established relationships with:

    • End-user customers

    • Automation hardware and software suppliers

    • Industry organizations or professional associations

    • Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to:

    • Lead webinars

    • Present at conferences

    • Engage senior level technical and business stakeholders

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Teams)

    Preferred Skills:

    • Strong understanding of industrial automation architectures and control system solutions
    • Knowledgeable with general contract terms including indemnity, warranty, and liability
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically
    • Self-driven, relationship focused, and results oriented leadership style

    Preferred Skills:

    This role requires regular travel to support customer engagements and industry events
