    Description

    SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Developer III (EDIG Systems) for a on-site opportunity for candidates in Columbia, South Carolina. The Candidate will develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications that process high-volume electronic healthcare transactions in a multi-platform environment. This role is responsible for application development, systems analysis, production support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and secure transaction processing.

    Required Qualifications of the Developer III (EDIG Systems):

    • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
    • Minimum of six (6) years of IT experience with progressive systems programming and application development responsibilities.
    • Experience developing applications using C programming and UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
    • Hands-on experience working in UNIX environments, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL); experience with AIX is also acceptable.
    • Experience supporting file transfer technologies, including SFTP and IBM Connect (NDM), and message queuing solutions.
    • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, IIS, and enterprise application support.
    • Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical designs and application solutions.
    • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and production support experience in enterprise environments.
    • Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation and communicate effectively with technical and business teams.

    Preferred Skills/Experience of the Developer III (EDIG Systems):

    • Experience supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions, including X12 healthcare transaction sets.
    • Knowledge of healthcare claims processing environments.
    • Experience with VBScript and Java development.
    • Familiarity with enterprise data transport, data transformation, and integration processes.
    • Experience working in Agile or collaborative software development environments.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively as part of a small technical team.

    Responsibilities of the Developer III (EDIG Systems):

    • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications that support electronic transaction processing.
    • Analyze business and technical requirements to create functional designs, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
    • Develop and execute testing strategies, troubleshoot application issues, and ensure software quality prior to deployment.
    • Provide production support by diagnosing issues, implementing enhancements, and participating in an on-call support rotation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations, transaction processing, and operational reliability.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation while following established development standards and best practices.

    Work Location: 100% onsite in Columbia, South Carolina.
