Design Release Engineer

Position: Design & Release Engineer – Interior Trim Plastics
Location: Troy, MI
Job Type: Contract
Key Requirements:
5+ years of automotive Cockpit/Interior Trim engineering experience
Experience with cockpit trim plastics, Instrument Panels, bins, glove boxes, IP doors, and finish trim
Strong knowledge of plastic design and injection molding
Experience with design release, PLM and engineering change processes
Experience with supplier coordination, tooling reviews and product launch
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DV/PV and validation
Familiarity with FMVSS, IIHS and other automotive regulatory requirements
Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or related field
