Dental Billing Specialist I | minimum 3 month project, may extend | Onsite - Dallas, TX 75251
3 month minimum project with potential to go longer
Pay: $20/hr - $22/hr based on experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday, days. Working onsite is essential 
Location:Dallas, TX, 75251
Required Qualifications:
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Experience managing Dental billing claims in dental & medical setting REQUIRED
  • An understanding of industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations for health care.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, and healthcare billing software systems required.
  • Basic math, bookkeeping and/or accounting skills.
  • Strong communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience and empathy.
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Organization, time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of patient or customer information.

Job Description:
  • Tracking and recording payments.
  • Resolving billing discrepancies and issues.
  • Communicating with clients regarding billing questions and concerns.
  • Preparing and analyzing billing reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Preparing bills and invoices, and documenting amounts due for medical procedures and services.
  • Investigate the insurance claims and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Research the stipulations of insurance policies.
  • Collecting and reviewing referrals and pre-authorizations.
  • Monitoring and recording late payments.
  • Collecting and entering claim information.
  • Posting insurance and patients and managing accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and payment procedures.
