Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a reliable and physically capable Delivery Driver – Box Truck to join a distribution team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering products to customers while providing professional service and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.

This is a physically demanding driving position involving the frequent loading and unloading of tires and other heavy products. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, is comfortable operating a box truck, and enjoys a combination of driving, customer interaction, and hands-on physical work.




Required Experience & Skills

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• Box truck driving experience preferred
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy items, including tires
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to safely load, unload, and transport products
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Basic paperwork and documentation skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to follow established routes, schedules, and delivery procedures
• Strong commitment to safe driving and material-handling practices




Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
• Make scheduled deliveries to customer locations throughout assigned routes
• Load products and tires into the delivery vehicle before departure
• Safely unload and deliver products at customer locations
• Perform frequent heavy lifting throughout the workday
• Verify delivery paperwork, products, and quantities for accuracy
• Organize deliveries and routes to meet scheduled timelines
• Complete required delivery paperwork and documentation
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Identify and report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns
• Communicate delivery delays, customer concerns, or route issues to management
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries
• Maintain a clean and organized truck and work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and proper lifting practices




Preferred Qualifications

• Previous box truck driving experience
• Local route delivery experience
• Tire distribution or automotive industry experience
• Warehouse or material-handling experience
• Experience loading and unloading commercial delivery vehicles
• Previous customer-facing delivery experience




Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull heavy products and tires
• Frequent loading and unloading throughout the workday
• Ability to safely enter and exit a box truck repeatedly during delivery routes
• Extended periods of driving combined with frequent physical activity
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout an extended shift




Work Environment

• Combination of local driving, warehouse activities, and customer delivery locations
• Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Frequent handling and movement of tires and other heavy products
