Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Datacenter Facilities Support Engineer for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of datacenter facilities while ensuring continuous availability of business-critical infrastructure.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $38/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Datacenter Facilities Support Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and health checks to ensure optimal operation of datacenter facilities and infrastructure.

  • Respond to facility alarms, incidents, and outages, coordinating timely troubleshooting and resolution to minimize downtime.

  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and facility support activities.

  • Maintain facility documentation, maintenance records, SOPs, asset inventories, and change management processes.

  • Support capacity planning initiatives for power, cooling, rack space, and overall datacenter infrastructure requirements.

  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network, and operations teams while participating in disaster recovery and business continuity activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.

  • 6-8 years of experience in Datacenter Operations, Facilities Support, Infrastructure Support, or Critical Facilities Management.

  • Hands-on experience with datacenter facilities operations, preventive maintenance, incident management, capacity planning, and vendor coordination.

  • Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure environments, including power, cooling, rack space management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and collaboration with IT infrastructure and operations teams.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $38.00 per hour
