We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator III to support the Texas Department of Public Safety. This role is ideal for a seasoned DBA with strong DB2 expertise who can ensure database performance, stability, and compliance in a complex enterprise environment.
What You’ ll Do Manage and support DB2 databases in a production environment Perform database administration across AIX, UNIX, and Linux platforms Execute shell scripting and automation tasks Monitor and optimize database performance, reliability, and availability Ensure systems meet DPS standards, policies, and compliance requirements Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience with DB2 databases 8+ years of experience with DB2 licensing and Passport Advantage 2+ years of experience working with AIX, UNIX, or Linux platforms 2+ years of experience with shell scripting or programming
Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience with DB2 on AIX
