Job Summary
Seeking a Database Administrator to support database migrations, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps initiatives. This role focuses on MySQL databases in AWS RDS/Aurora environments, data migration projects, ETL development, automation, and ongoing database administration. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain required clearances.

Job Description
  • Deploy and configure MySQL database environments in AWS RDS/Aurora.
  • Perform full and incremental data migrations from legacy systems.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Automate database provisioning using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Support database deployments within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor database performance, availability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and optimize queries.
  • Manage backups, recovery, patching, and maintenance.
  • Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Assist with reporting tools such as Amazon QuickSight.
  • Provide support across production, development, test, and UAT environments.
  • Participate in on-call support as needed.
Required Skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 2 5+ years of database administration experience.
  • Strong MySQL experience.
  • AWS RDS and/or Aurora experience.
  • ETL development and data migration experience.
  • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
  • CI/CD and Git experience.
  • SQL proficiency.
  • Database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery experience.
  • AWS cloud experience.
  • Linux and Windows administration experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Amazon Aurora (MySQL-compatible).
  • SQL Server and/or Oracle.
  • Amazon QuickSight or other BI/reporting tools.
  • CloudWatch, OpenSearch, or similar monitoring tools.
  • Python or shell scripting.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
