Data Governance Analyst (Remote)

A financial servics firm is seeking a new Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise data governance initiatives in a remote setting.

About the Opportunity:

• Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Support enterprise data governance initiatives focused on secure and permanent data deletion
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to develop and implement data deletion controls and governance processes
• Perform dataset discovery, inventory, and metadata management across Azure data environments
• Analyze data and processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improved governance and compliance
• Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Experience with data governance, data management, data controls, data privacy, or data lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, and PySpark
• Experience developing and executing test plans and validating data controls
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a project environment
• Strong data analysis, communication, and project management skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with secure data deletion initiatives
• Background in financial services or enterprise data environments
