Job Description:
 
We are a steel manufacturing company embarking on an exciting digital and AI transformation journey. As we modernize our operations and unlock the power of data across our business, we are seeking a skilled and driven Data Engineer to join our growing AI team. In this role, you will design and build scalable data pipelines, develop robust APIs and data services, and collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality data infrastructure and applications that powers critical business decisions —helping shape the future of manufacturing through technology and AI.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong Python development experience. 3+ years.
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark and Pandas. 3+ years.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines 3+ years.
  • Experience in architecture and developing REST APIs and data services.
  • Strong SQL skills (Oracle preferred;experience with any major relational database is acceptable) 3+ years.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud storage platforms such as OCI, Azure, GCP, AWS, or similar.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem and distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with Databricks.
 
What You'll Do:
  • Design, and build reliable, scalable data pipelines to support analytics and operational workloads.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and data services to expose data assets to downstream consumers.
  • Work with large datasets using PySpark, Pandas, and Databricks to transform and process data at scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions in the AI space.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the applications being developed.
  • Document data architectures, pipelines, and processes for team knowledge sharing.
