Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closeout.
  • Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Drive project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change order management.
  • Negotiate and administer subcontractor agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Monitor project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee quality control programs and ensure work meets project specifications and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs, construction regulations, and client requirements.
  • Conduct client meetings and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and construction partners.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams during project planning and startup.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase efficiency and project success.
  • Support the development and mentoring of junior project management staff.

Profile

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or related project leadership role.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contracts, and project controls.
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Experience working with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with large-scale projects valued at $20M+ is highly desirable.
  • Background in mission critical, healthcare, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or institutional projects is a plus.
