A leading enterprise organization is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to help define and modernize its enterprise data platform strategy.

This is a highly visible architecture role responsible for designing scalable cloud-based data platforms, establishing enterprise architecture standards, and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strategic architecture leadership with hands-on implementation experience and enjoys partnering with engineering, governance, cybersecurity, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

What You'll Tackle:

Define enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, roadmaps, and target-state architectures.
Design secure, scalable cloud data platforms supporting analytics, governance, reporting, and AI initiatives.
Lead architecture for modern data ecosystems including lakehouse platforms, orchestration frameworks, enterprise data warehouses, business intelligence, and distributed data processing.
Establish enterprise standards for data modeling, metadata management, data lineage, semantic modeling, integration architecture, and data lifecycle management.
Design AI-ready data architectures supporting semantic models, metadata-driven frameworks, vector-enabled architectures, and scalable enterprise data pipelines.
Partner with governance, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, legal, and business teams to support privacy, security, retention, auditability, and regulatory requirements.
Review solution architectures to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and security principles.
Provide architectural leadership by translating complex technical concepts into practical business recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Modernization
Hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
Strong experience with modern cloud data technologies including:
- Cloud Data Lakes
- Data Warehousing
- Lakehouse Architectures
- Distributed Data Processing
- Enterprise Analytics Platforms
Deep understanding of:
- Data Modeling
- Metadata Management
- Data Lineage
- Data Governance
- Master & Reference Data
- Integration Architecture
- Data Lifecycle Management
Experience designing AI-ready data platforms supporting machine learning, semantic modeling, feature engineering, and analytical workloads.
Experience with enterprise architecture and governance tools.
Familiarity with APIs, event-driven architectures, data mesh, data fabric, and distributed systems.
Experience supporting enterprise data quality, privacy, security, access governance, and regulatory compliance.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience designing enterprise AI-ready data platforms.
Experience within Financial Services or another highly regulated industry.
Experience supporting enterprise governance initiatives.
Cloud platform certifications.
Multilingual communication skills are a plus.
