Dakota Workwear Sales Associate (Part-Time)

General Summary

The Part-Time Nybergs Dakota Workwear Associate provides exceptional customer service while helping customers find the right workwear, footwear, and accessories for their needs.

Nyberg's Dakota Workwear offers a wide selection of premium workwear for men and women, including coats, jackets, work boots, hats, gloves and big & tall sizes. We carry the region's widest selection of Carhartt and Ariat apparel, along with other trusted workwear brands.

The position also assists with receiving, stocking, and pricing merchandise while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store.

We are looking for someone to work 15-20 hours per week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales:

• Provide a positive representation of Nyberg's Dakota Workwear.
• Proactively assist customers throughout the store.
• Greet customers as they enter and throughout their shopping experience.
• Thank customers when their transaction is complete and as they leave the store.
• Possess a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with both customers and fellow associates.
• Answer all pages and calls promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Address customer concerns professionally and forward complaints that cannot be resolved to a member of management.
• Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, including apparel, footwear, workwear brands, sizing and store layout.
• Help customers find workwear, boots and accessories that fit their individual needs.
• Provide personalized service with the goal of amazing every customer, every time.

Store Operations:

• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Receive, check in, price and stock merchandise throughout the store.
• Maintain appropriate back-stock levels and organized inventory.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including end caps and promotional merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise resets and displays throughout the store.
• Provide assistance to Department Specialists with tasks such as price changes and special orders.
• Ensure signage and pricing are current and accurate throughout the store.
• Operate a forklift with proper training.
• Communicate Store Support Center issues to the General Manager for follow-up.
• Share merchandising, cost-control and sales ideas with the General Manager.
• Participate in store meetings and training.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Training

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

Previous retail, customer service or sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach and climb as needed to perform job duties.
