THE WORK

The Cyber Systems Security Engineering team in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Cybersecurity Validation Engineer to design, develop, and execute security validation activities to identify vulnerabilities, verify security controls. and ensure products and systems meet cybersecurity and anti-tamper requirements. You will work closely with cross functional engineers, program managers, and customers to ensure security requirements are met and to evaluate emerging threat vectors.

In this role you will:

• Develop and execute cybersecurity validation and verification plans, test cases, and procedures.
• Verify system security design requirements and capabilities through rigorous analysis and testing.
• Conduct security testing, vulnerability assessment, penetration-testing and attack-surface analysis.
• Design negative, boundary, fault-injection and abuse-case testing scenarios to identify potential security weaknesses.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and track vulnerabilities through resolution.
• Validate security mechanisms such as authentication, authorization, encryption, secure boot, access controls, key management and intrusion detection.
• Maintain all security validation documentation, test reports, evidence and traceability artifacts.

You are an experienced Cybersecurity Validation Engineer with a strong background in validation and verification, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and threat modeling.

Basic Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity (with a concentration in Offensive Security), or an equivalent degree.
• 2+ years of experience in penetration testing, offensive security, vulnerability assessment, system verification or a related cybersecurity discipline.
• Experience developing verification plans, procedures, test cases and test reports.
• Strong understanding of requirements verification, traceability, test methodologies and verification processes.
• Strong understanding of operating system, authentication, encryption and common security protocols.
• Strong administrative, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Desired Skills

• Experience with threat modeling, red teaming or adversary simulation.
• Hands‑on experience with penetration-testing tools and framework such as NMAP, Metasploit, Kali Linux, Wireshark or equivalent.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, system security and anti-tamper concepts.
• Familiarity with anti-tamper, information assurance, embedded security or secure hardware security technologies.
• Experience with requirements and test tools such as DOORS, JAZZ, JIRA, Gitlab is a plus.

Pay Information

• $75000.00 - $142760.00
