Customer Service Representative

Job Type: Customer Service Rep (Temp To Hire)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00  depending on experience and knowledge

Location: Elgin, IL 

Hours: M-F 8:30am -4:30pm

Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting and assisting the Sales Team working with both Customers and Vendors. 

 Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  processing Customer and Vendor Purchase Orders, Correspondence, Inventory Management, Specifications, Vendor Request for Quotes (RFQ’s), Customer Quotations and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.  Excellent communication skills & attention to details are a must.

This position should be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within Customer Service.  Relies on limited experience and judgments to plan and accomplish a variety of tasks.  Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or Manager.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Performs other miscellaneous tasks that will assist and help Customer Service, the Sales Team, and the Company including:

Clerical Including Filing, Ship Tickets, and Credit Memo’s as required

Problem Solving

Vendor Relations

Order Fulfillment

Cost Consciousness

Follow Up/ Follow Through

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1– 3 years’ experience in the field or in a related area. (Level I)

4 – 7 years’ experience (Level II)

Excellent communications skills (verbal & written)

Very Organized

Multi-tasking

Strong attention to details

Must have great attitude

Ability to develop relationships

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Good clerical skills
