Piper Companies is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a fast-growing, technology-driven organization within the insurance and financial services industry. The Customer Service Representative role is ideal for an energetic and detail-oriented professional focused on delivering exceptional client experiences while supporting annuity and life insurance products. Must be Local to Durham, NC

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative:

  • Manage all client correspondence related to service inquiries and claims via phone, email, chat, and text while maintaining professionalism.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to client needs, ensuring all requests are handled through resolution with minimal escalation.
  • Process service requests including withdrawals, surrenders, ownership updates, and beneficiary changes.
  • Explain contract benefits and provide detailed information regarding products and transaction processes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, working to retain business when clients are considering alternative providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of all products, procedures, and business rules.
  • Provide technical support to clients utilizing digital platforms and online account tools.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Promote digital solutions and act as a change agent in enhancing client experience processes.
  • Communicate developments and escalations effectively with management and support special projects as needed.

Qualifications of the Customer Service Representative:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant customer service or call center experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, including passing call simulation testing requirements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a positive and adaptable attitude.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Dependability and reliability with adherence to structured schedules.

Compensation for the Customer Service Representative includes:

  • Salary range: $20hr - $23hr
  • Long-term incentive plan eligibility
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and additional coverage
  • Full-time opportunity with a hybrid schedule (onsite 3 days per week)
