Summary:

At Aptiv Interconnect, we inspire the world's most innovative teams by doing the right thing, the right way. We are seeking a hands-on, high-caliber Customer Service Manager to serve as the key liaison between our customers and internal departments at our San Marcos, CA manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will collaborate with sales, business development, engineering, and operations to deliver exceptional support to all stakeholders. By leading daily operations, driving process improvements, and fostering customer growth, your leadership will directly enhance operational efficiency and increase company revenue.

Leadership & Core Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Inside Sales

  • Operational Leadership: Lead the daily operations of the inside sales and customer service team to ensure timely handling of customer inquiries, quotes, orders, and system updates within CRM/ERP platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, and Factory teams to manage quotations, streamline communications, and guarantee accurate lead times.

Customer Engagement & Process Improvement

  • Relationship Management: Develop and nurture customer relationships to identify growth opportunities, participate in forecasting, and utilize Salesforce to manage sales opportunities effectively.
  • Departmental Growth: Drive the development of departmental goals, organize and lead conflict resolution to service customers, and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Team Development: Train and develop team members, engage potential new customers, and share cross-company insights to meet key business objectives.

Position Requirements

Education & Technical Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sales and Marketing, or a related field (highly preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive sales and customer service experience.
  • Industry Domain: Experience in the wire and cable industry is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of sales principles, negotiation techniques, and the ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of and compliance with regulatory agency standards (e.g., UL, CSA)

Certifications & Competencies

  • Certifications: [Insert required or preferred certifications, e.g., PMP, PE, Lean Six Sigma].
  • Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Google Enterprise, ADP, QT9 Quality Management, Salesforce (CRM), and ERP systems (Epicor 10 / Infor Visual ERP).
  • Core Competencies: Excellent oral and written communication; proven supervisory, interpersonal, and team-building skills; strong initiative; and the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

  • Base Salary Range: Up to $116,000 per year, contingent upon experience, education, skills, and relevant hiring factors.
