About Abundant Lawn
Abundant Lawn is a family-owned lawn care and landscaping company in St. Petersburg, and we're growing, with a Tampa location planned. We're looking for a steady, organized, even-keeled person to be the voice of our company on the phone and keep our office running smoothly.

Schedule: Full time, Monday–Friday, 9–5, in our St. Petersburg office
Pay: $22–$30/hour, depending on experience, with room to grow

What this job really is
This is a hands-on role, not a strategy job. Most of your day is talking with customers, solving problems, and getting things done. You'll back up our customer service rep on the phones in the morning and run the phones on your own in the afternoon, fitting in office work between calls. If you're calm with an upset customer, quick to answer emails, and good at deciding what needs to happen first, you'll do well here.

Your main responsibilities
  • Phones and customers: Answer calls professionally, handle complaints calmly, and get every issue to the right person on our team until it's resolved
  • New customers: Respond quickly to new leads, including those from Google Ads, and schedule estimates with our sales team
  • Email and text: Keep customer inboxes current, with no customer left waiting
  • Jobber (our CRM): Enter new customers, update accounts, log payments, and take payments over the phone
  • Collections: Track accounts receivable in Jobber, make collection calls, and build a simple, consistent collections process
  • Payroll: Enter weekly hours into ADP
  • HR paperwork: Keep a file for every employee, prepare new-hire folders, and keep policies and paperwork organized
  • Office support: Reorder office supplies, help with uniforms and inventory, take new-hire photos, and handle standing monthly tasks, like customer data exports for our email marketing and a monthly staff update for our website
Who we're looking for
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, scheduling, dispatch, or office coordination
  • Experience in a home or field service business, like HVAC, pest control, lawn care, plumbing, or similar, is a big plus
  • A pleasant, professional phone manner, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Someone who makes decisions and moves on, rather than getting stuck overthinking
  • A self-starter: we have SOPs and training videos for almost everything, and after initial training we expect you to use them, look things up online, and figure things out
  • A clear communicator who speaks up early when something is stuck
  • Reliable and consistent, someone who's here on schedule every day
  • Comfortable with computers and an iPhone. Experience with Jobber, ADP, QuickBooks, Google Sheets, or Mailchimp is a plus, and we'll train you on what you don't know.
Room to grow
The pay range reflects how much you take on. Strong customer service and admin skills start at the lower end. As you show you can handle more, like HR compliance, deposits, and more detailed back-office work, your responsibilities and pay grow too.
