Customer Account Manager
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a relationship-focused Customer Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison between customers, carriers, and internal teams. This role is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience, resolving issues, managing ongoing relationships, and supporting operational excellence across the organization.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in customer success, account management, client services, logistics coordination, transportation operations, or customer-facing operational support. The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, customer-centric, and comfortable working across multiple departments to drive solutions and improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and support.
- Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and service-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Act as a customer advocate by coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Partner with operations, carrier support, and leadership teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Monitor account activity and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Conduct customer reviews and ongoing relationship management activities.
- Support customer onboarding and implementation activities as needed.
- Track and communicate issue resolution, project updates, and service expectations.
- Maintain accurate customer records, notes, and account documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiencies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in customer success, account management, customer operations, client services, logistics coordination, transportation operations, customer service, or related customer-facing roles
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience managing customer issues through resolution
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating across departments and stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly
Preferred
- Logistics, transportation, freight, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution experience
- CRM experience
- Account management experience
- Process improvement or operational support experience
- Experience working with carriers, vendors, or external business partners
Compensation & Schedule
- $60,000-$75,000 annually
- Full-Time
- Direct Hire
- Monday-Friday
- 100% Onsite
