This is a Community Service Work Study student employment position. Applicants must have Federal Work Study funds in their Financial Aid package.

Address where work will take place: 7528 N Charleston Ave, Portland, OR 97203 (from campus: 7 minute drive or 17 minutes by bus line 44)

The CPPAC Program Assistant will support the Cathedral Park Performing Arts Collective with day-to-day functions. The Program Assistant will work in person at the CPPAC Studio in downtown St Johns and remotely through the school year.

Reports on-site to the Executive Director and Operations Director of Cathedral Park Performing Arts Collective (CPPAC) and on-campus to Moreau Center Program Manager.

Core Duties

  • Provide front desk support during class (check students in, etc)
  • Assist instructor during class
  • Increase community outreach (newsletter, social media, events, websites, etc)
  • Expand and maintain donor and volunteer base
  • Ongoing communication with volunteer and donors
  • Custodial support
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have Federal Work Study Funds in Financial Aid package (contact finaid@up.edu with questions)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Comfort with autonomy
  • Ability to commute to St. Johns neighborhood

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to develop relationships with community members
  • Effective team player
  • Expertise in Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of Canva, Mailchimp, and/or Wordpress
  • Fluent in Spansih

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work up stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
