Job Title: Criminal Justice Analyst

Job Summary:
The Client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to serve as a Sex & Violent Offender Registration Review Coordinator. This position is responsible for reviewing legal and criminal justice records, conducting registration determinations, maintaining offender registry data, and collaborating with law enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal registration requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather court, criminal, and registration-related documentation from local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Review and analyze legal records, criminal statutes, court orders, sentencing documents, and administrative codes.
  • Conduct offender registration reviews and determine registration obligations.
  • Maintain and update offender registration databases and tracking systems.
  • Communicate registration determinations to law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Research applicable laws, regulations, and case law related to offender registration requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement agencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 1 year of legal research experience using tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, INcite, or Doxpop.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience gathering, reviewing, and processing legal or official documentation.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze legal documents, criminal codes, administrative rules, policies, and court records.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience with criminal history records, including Triple I reports, probable cause affidavits, sentencing documentation, presentence investigation reports, and court orders.
  • Additional legal or criminal justice research experience.
  • Background in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, Legal Research, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Public Administration, or related fields.
