Lead Service Excellence for a Premier Crane Fleet
Picture your morning at our Kansas City, MO branch: reviewing the day’s work orders, aligning technicians to urgent field calls, and syncing with sales and marketing on a new product improvement rollout. As the Service Manager for MGX Equipment Services, you own the service operation end-to-end—customer relationships, departmental P&L, workforce coaching, work order prioritization, and rock-solid safety compliance—reporting directly to the Branch Manager.
What you’ll tackle day-to-day
- Champion top-tier aftermarket support for parts, technical service, and customer needs.
- Deploy skilled technical pros to resolve field issues—installation, operation, repair, or machine modifications—while backing customers with parts and warranty expertise.
- Negotiate warranty settlements and oversee the warranty program.
- Administer Service Bulletins and Product Improvement Programs on schedule.
- Diagnose and respond to parts, service, and warranty inquiries.
- Maintain supplier relationships and coordinate closely with sales & marketing.
- Grow product support revenue, including reimbursable service work.
- Contribute to long-range business planning.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Role location and reporting
Based at our Kansas City, MO branch for MGX Equipment Services, reporting to the Branch Manager.
What you bring
- High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Degree preferred.
- 5+ years in heavy construction equipment management or product support.
- Hands-on background with mobile hydraulic and crawler cranes is required; familiarity with Manitowoc, National, and Grove brands is a plus.
- Experience scheduling and expediting rental fleet turnaround preferred.
- Outstanding customer service and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Minimal travel.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a full-time position with typical 1st shift working hours. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
