About Us

The Skinny Pancake is a Vermont‑based local creperie with a mission to make a positive impact through responsible sourcing, community engagement, and warm, welcoming hospitality. At our Burlington waterfront location (60 Lake St), we're proud to partner with Lawson's Finest Liquids to bring their taproom experience to life—pairing our comfort‑casual dining with their acclaimed, locally made craft beer. Together, we're creating a friendly, community‑driven space built on good vibes, great food, and thoughtfully crafted beverages, right on the Burlington waterfront.

This role has all the good things! You'll act as a Server, Barista, Bartender, and Skinny Pancake and Lawson's ambassador.

What You'll Do

Guest Service

• Provide warm, gracious hospitality to every guest
• Serve high‑quality food, coffee, and beverages
• Craft espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and pour Lawson's beer and cider
• Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, beer offerings, and specials
• Create a welcoming, positive atmosphere for guests and teammates

Bar & Beverage Responsibilities

• Represent Lawson's Finest Liquids' handcrafted beers with knowledge, enthusiasm, and pride
• Pour beer and serve beverages with accuracy, consistency, and care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked bar and beverage service area
• Handle cash and POS transactions with accuracy and integrity
• Follow all alcohol service guidelines and uphold VDLL compliance (must be 18+)

Operations

• Take orders and serve high-quality food and beverages
• Work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Perform opening and closing duties
• Prep, restock, clean, and sanitize to maintain a safe, pleasant environment
• Handle multiple orders at once while meeting ticket‑time expectations
• Follow recipes and portion guidelines
• Pitch in where needed, including washing dishes and cleaning

• Must be 18+ for VDLL certification
